Smyth Automotive is a privately-held automotive aftermarket company, owned and operated by the Smyth family since it was founded by George Smyth over 50 years ago. Smyth Automotive has grown and now owns and operates 18 auto part retail locations, 8 paint centers and 5 warehouse distribution centers serving Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Northern and Central Kentucky, Nashville Tennessee, and Indianapolis Indiana.
We are looking for an IT help desk guru to provide internal support for our employees, contractors, and customers. Candidates should have a mix of technical and customer service skills, and be passionate about technology and helping people.
•Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations through tickets, phone, email, in person, etc.
•Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
•Create and maintain various user accounts
•Setup, troubleshoot and maintain various hardware, peripherals and software
•Monitor nightly processes, backups and reporting
•Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed
•Windows 7 thru current
•Microsoft Exchange including Office 365 and Teams
•Active Directory maintenance
•PC hardware and peripherals
•Mobile devices (iOS)
•Phone systems (VOIP)
•Audio and video equipment
•Client PC connectivity – ethernet, TCP/IP, VPN, FTP, SMPT, HTTP
•File server knowledge including hardware and cloud based
•Firewalls (Meraki), Router and Switches
•Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
•Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
•An Associate degree in Computer Systems is preferred
•Preference will be given to candidates with training, experience or certification in IT or networking, and previous help desk or call center experience
