Summary of Job Function: Implements theory based nursing practice and enhances cost-effective quality patient care through the roles of educator, leader, mentor, preceptor, consultant, researcher & role model. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

Job Qualifications: BS/BSN required. MA/MS/M.ED degree in Nursing or related health field. If Masters is non nursing BSN preferred. Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Current National certification in specialty. Certification in BLS through American Heart Association. Minimum of three years current experience in areas of specialization required. One year experience with demonstrated leadership/management required. Minimum of one year education, teaching, preceptor or other experience preferred.
