Lakes & Pines Community Action Council, Inc. is hiring two (2) Agency Advocates for our Moose Lake and North Branch locations to join their team and complement the overall desire to build financial resiliency among it’s community members. The Agency wide Advocate is responsible for meeting the Agency’s mission as a team member in a comprehensive approach to community building by providing guidance, outreach, supportive services and referrals to resources. This approach will enable community action
program participants to create goals, identify barriers, and receive assistance in creating a personalized case plan which will focus on building skills and strengths with direction and support in order to increase financial resilience. This position involves engaging the community, assessing the needs of participants, developing action
plans, serving as a resources to participants, having a thorough understanding of services and supports available in the community, completing intake work and assessing a household’s initial eligibility for all programs administrated by Lakes & Pines Community Action Council, Inc., and advocating for the rights of and services for
low-income persons. High School diploma or GED required; post-secondary degree preferred or 3-5 years of experience
working in a related field.
Position is full time, 8AM-4:30PM, some teleworking. Starting salary range is $18.17 to $19.14 per hour, depending on qualifications and has a full range of $18.18 to $27.60 per hour; full benefits package including 12 paid holidays, annual and sick leave, and up to 5% retirement contribution matching after meeting enrollment requirements.
