As a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What you’ll get to do:
Perform technical planning, requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for the total system
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Interface with internal and external customers for Systems Engineering activities, generate and present material for briefings and developing proposals.
Create and refine Model Based System Engineering products (System behavioral models, Use Case realizations, State Machines, etc.)

Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 9 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 7 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 4 years relevant experience
Candidate must have previous SE or MBSE experience and should be familiar with SysML.
Experience with Cameo Magic draw or another MBSE tools such as Rhapsody, Sparx EA, and Enterprise Architect. (Cameo/MagicDraw preferred)
US Citizenship with current Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
Understanding and knowledge of Agile (SCRUM) techniques and activities
Design and operational knowledge of navy programs
Ability to read and interpret government or military specifications
Experience with proposals
