Position Title: Information Technology Manager
Reports to: Assistant Town Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary: Performs a variety of technical and administrative tasks such as planning, budgeting, coordinating and managing the overall operations and activities within the newly formed Information Technology Division. Responsible for hands-on, day-to-day management of Town-wide information systems and technology. Information systems include but are not limited to network administration, third-party platforms, maintaining and operating limited but critical broadband services and supporting various town websites. Plans, develops, delivers and/or coordinates related technology training. Provides oversight of staff from departments with varied objectives for the purpose of insuring high availability networks, excellent customer service and data protection for technology based services offered or used by the Town. Monitors, evaluates, and recommends revisions to existing operating systems to maximize efficiencies and/or strengthen internal controls; drafts policies and/or procedures related to technology and information systems; and provides overall support to town departments information system and technology needs. Other job-related duties as requested.
Experience, Education and Licenses
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems related discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.
• Minimum Five-Seven (5-7) years of progressive experience in Information Technologies or related experience.
• Knowledge of core Broadband systems, fiber optic network infrastructure and Ethernet cable plants.
• Network administration, design and troubleshooting experience preferred
• Must possess a valid Colorado driver license, with a satisfactory motor vehicle record and pass a background review
Hiring Range: $79,105 – $98,881, maximum pay for this position is $118,658. Starting pay above the hiring range may be considered depending upon experience.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a fulltime, benefits eligible position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. May attend Town Council Meetings (2nd and 4th Tuesday at 6 p.m.), and various committee meetings that typically occur during regular business hours.
